Comparison of Anthropic's managed GitHub service based on its official Code Review documentation, checked July 2026; verify current pricing with each vendor.

Pricing: Unlimited vs Per-Review

Anthropic charges $15-25 per review depending on PR size. For a team doing 10 reviews per week, that's $600-1,000/month.

DiffSwarm charges $14.99/mo flat for unlimited reviews. You pay your AI provider directly for tokens at their standard rates -- no markup.

The BYOK model means you use your existing Claude Code or Codex subscription. If you already pay for Claude Code, DiffSwarm just adds $14.99/mo on top.

Privacy: Local vs Cloud

DiffSwarm runs its orchestration and artifacts locally. Your code and diffs are never sent to DiffSwarm servers; bounded context goes directly from your authenticated local CLI to the AI provider you selected.

Anthropic's Code Review processes your code in their cloud infrastructure.

For teams that want local control of scheduling, checkpoints, and reports without adding DiffSwarm as an inference proxy, that direct data path is the important distinction.

Availability: Everyone vs Enterprise

Anthropic's managed GitHub Code Review is a research preview for Claude Team and Enterprise customers (as of July 2026). Anthropic separately offers a local /code-review command on other plans.

DiffSwarm works for anyone who has Claude Code or OpenAI Codex CLI installed. No enterprise contract required.

Solo developers, small teams, and startups get the same review quality as large organizations.

Security: Dedicated vs General

DiffSwarm has a dedicated Security Audit mode with OWASP Top 10 categorization, CWE tagging, and severity-aware findings.

Anthropic's Code Review includes security vulnerabilities in its general review. DiffSwarm additionally exposes a dedicated security profile and security-specific output contract.

When you need to verify that a PR doesn't introduce auth bypasses, injection vectors, or misconfigurations, a purpose-built security mode matters.

Multi-Agent Verification

DiffSwarm starts with several fresh, complete-PR reviews. Each process sees the same bounded card deck but no peer findings, cluster counts, discussion, or votes. A full-deck receipt is required before its work counts.

Only after that blind barrier closes are claims clustered and shown to fresh deliberators. Fresh verifiers then see the evidence and discussion, while the engine enforces confirmation, refutation, and bounded-inconclusive thresholds.

The important distinction is structural: agents do not split one PR into mutually blind fragments, and early conclusions do not prime later discovery. Independence comes first; influence is delayed until the explicit discussion phase.
